I can’t believe that in 2013, some OEM hasn’t figured out a stable media storage/server solution that doesn’t require the end user to be a network/linux expert just to maintain general usefulness. The easiest way to do that is to go to the Twonky Media page and look at the content via the web. You need to make sure that Twonky has indexed the files. The fact that your WDTV Live isn’t seeing the files is a different issue entirely. I can not get Twonky to see the playlists or any songs on the playlist. Some other devices will register when the server discovers them. Last night I updated to the latest firmware and now my TV can not show anything. m3u playlist using VLC from songs on the M圜loud Shared Music, folder and saved the Playlist in the Shared Music Folder. SiM22 October 30, 2011, 5:36pm 1 Hi, For as long as I have had my MyBookWorld 1TB I could access the files on it from any DLNA TV and it would be all folder based etc etc. Help - family is coming Thursday and the young kids all look forward to watching the family movies - that is why we have this thing, right? My Cloud OS 3 Personal & Network Attached Storage My Cloud. I have rescanned, rebuilt, rebooted, everything I can think of and find in both the nas UI and the twonky UI. Only my 20 folders are showing up, and only some subfolders below those, and only a handful of files within those. Its because the standard doesnt say a word about media formats. DLNA certification is a funny thing in the sense that there is no guarantee that any 2 DLNA certified devices will ever interoperate. I rescanned again - no help, same ones showed up (and same ones did not - which was most). Re: dlna server doesnt show files on samsung smart tv. However, two weeks ago I did this and many of my folders never showed up after the rescan. Over time I have never had much success with Twonky successfully scanning, finding, indexing, and presenting new files/folders to my media devices and so every so often I have had to force a database rebuild. Then one more level of folders under that with months, and tons of. So in my Public share, I have a Shared Videos folder.
