Before Marceline and Bubblegum were together, Marceline had a pretty rough lot in life. Where the show stands out is in its exploration of the the emotional history and complexities of the characters. The flashback in the episode serves as a smart storytelling device to move the plot forward while giving new fans context on what is happening. Viewers of Obsidian don’t have to watch the entire series to understand the relationship between Marceline and Bubblegum or even the world of Adventure Time. Long gone are the days of monster fighting and adventuring: Bubblegum spends her days doing her research while Marceline tries to write music, but struggles to tap into her “angry, punk-rock” self.īubblegum and Marceline are suddenly pulled from their lives of domestic bliss when a young boy from the glass kingdom seeks Marceline to sing her song to defeat the monster she once helped lock away, now loose and terrorizing the glass kingdom. In the special, we meet Marceline and Bubblegum living a pretty normal quaint life after the events of the original Adventure Time show. Although the couple may not seem like the perfect match on the surface, the two complement each other well. Vampire Marceline has always been the “angry punk rocker,” while Bubblegum was the pink scientist princess from a literal candy kingdom. Obsidian gives us a further look into the life of Bubblegum and Marceline and so much more. The reign of Adventure Time ended in 2018 after almost 8 years, and one of the most satisfying parts of the show was the romance between Marceline The Vampire Queen and Princess Bubblegum. Adventure Time: Distant Lands – Obsidian, an hour-long special based on the Cartoon Network series, definitely falls under the category of smart animated episodes that are easy for audiences of all ages to watch, enjoy, and to rewatch again. The magic of animated shows like Adventure Time is that they always find a way to deal with adult themes.

Increases flow to write first and then uses AI tool to rehash it to uncover new angles. You can either ask Jasper to give you the key takeaways or summarize the above in the Boss Mode like the GIF I made below. Say you are working on a difficult text of a medical paper. You can use it to blend into the article you already have. Secondly, you can do a lot more with Jasper than just summarizing. You can adjust its tone, and length, and include certain words as if you are talking to your assistant. Then just get Jasper to write a summary of the above. You can write something done first and fast. So, if you are a researcher looking to increase your productivity, Jasper is the best in my opinion simply because it has the best “flow”.įirst of all, it allows users to write more freely, regardless of whether they are native English writers or not. Especially for those who are perfectionists. It is easier to correct someone’s writing than to create a writing. But, what’s great about it is that it breaks the writer’s block perfectly. It will miss some nuances that only you, the expert, will know. Granted, Jasper won’t be as smart as you. You can also ask Jasper to draw out implications. Jasper can trace back 2,000 words before the line. You can simply copy the text that you want to review as part of your writing process in the canvas (see GIF). Jasper’s not the best tool for this objective.Įxperienced Jasper users will just go to the boss mode and write there. So, in my view, if you are a student looking for tools to understand a long paper. Jasper has a template “Text Summarizer” which has a limit of 600 words. Jasper’s Text Summarizer is great for academic users who are looking for tools as part of the WRITING process, not just understanding. Additionally, you can use Jasper to blend in with other articles you are working on, making it a versatile tool for any academic writer. The summarizer allows you to write first and then adjust the text to make it your own. Jasper’s Text Summarizer is a great tool for experienced users who want to increase their productivity. Belly: The central area where the sides curve out the most.To pick a beautiful marquise diamond, you need to know its parts. Courtesy: Ī marquise is considered a “ fancy shape,” that is, a shape other than round. The use of simple geometric shapes (a hallmark of the era), a 1.09 carat (ct) center stone, 0.35 carats of lush emeralds, and another 0.21 carats of diamonds add to the ring’s elegant beauty. Putting a marquise diamond in an Art Deco–inspired setting was a masterly stroke of design. Many brides also appreciate the fact that a marquise will make their fingers appear longer and more slender. Because of its shape, a marquise diamond will look larger face-up than a round diamond of the same weight. Yet the marquise continues to have many advantages. The marquise diamond was also popular in the 1970s, especially in bridal jewelry, but fell out of favor to the square-shaped princess-cut diamond by the beginning of the 21st century. Similar in shape to the hull of a racing yacht, it was a favorite of early 20th century Edwardians, as sailing was a hobby of Britain’s King Edward VII and his wealthy contemporaries. The marquise diamond is also called a navette (Old French for “little ship”). Developed in France in the 1740s, legend has it that it was named for the Marquise de Pompadour, a mistress of King Louis XV, because its outline resembled the shape of her mouth. Pronounced “mahr-keez,” this graceful, elongated diamond has curved sides and pointed ends. But before you shop, learn what to look for. Are you an incurable romantic searching for an engagement ring with an aristocratic air? Consider the marquise diamond: It’s beautiful. So you shaved and now it seems your bikini line is breaking out on you. “After shaving, the ends of the hairs become blunted, which may cause the hair to seem coarse, but the actual thickness remains unchanged.” “Shaving does not change the thickness of the hair,” Dr. $20 at Amazon $20 at Dermstore $10 at Ulta Beauty Does pubic hair grow back faster, thicker, or darker? “And be super careful not to nick your skin with scissors!” “If you do trim pubic hair, make sure to do so in very good lighting,” Dr. Just use a small pair of scissors or a hair trimmer and cut the hair so it’s about a quarter of an inch long.īut be extremely cautious with this step. “Trimming the pubic hair before shaving can help to improve visualization and improve contact with the blade to ensure an effective shave,” Dr. If this is your first time shaving your pubic hair (or it’s been a while since you groomed down there), it will be easier and much more comfortable to remove if the hair is a bit shorter. It might sound complicated, but just follow the steps to shaving your pubic hair below and you’ll be smooth in no time. And even those that are safe for down there can still irritate - or burn - your skin if left on for too long. Shaving creams are relatively painless, but you have to read the package and the instructions very carefully because not all are made for the uber-sensitive skin around your vulva and bikini line. Marisa Garshick, board-certified dermatologist, adds. But don’t forget to moisturize before and after, “to help create a barrier to minimize friction, soften and smooth the skin,” Dr. If you have sensitive skin, you might want to stick with shaving, “as wax tends to be more irritating in most cases,” Dr. Rebecca Marcus, board-certified dermatologist and founder of Maei MD, “tends to pose a lower risk of ingrown hairs, or folliculitis, as compared to waxing.” Shaving can easily be done at home, and according to Dr. On the other hand, shaving can feel like an easier and more familiar introduction to bikini-line grooming: You’ve probably been doing it to your legs, so you’ve got the basics down. Plus, waxing your bikini area is often done at a salon, which can be a little inconvenient (depending on your schedule) and can become pretty costly. Waxing is a super common hair removal method - and TBH, requires less upkeep than shaving - but real talk: Ripping your hair out can be pretty painful. Consider your pubic hair styling a very personal preference, Jennifer Ashton, MD, OB/GYN and author of The Body Scoop for Girls, says. Some like a bare bikini area, while others prefer leaving a little hair down there. If you’re wondering: Is this the norm? Should I shave it all off ASAP? The truth is, there’s no one right way to deal with pubic hair. You might feel like you're seeing a million messages about pube grooming - friends who talk about being totally bare, waxing ads at every salon. The process might seem pretty self-explanatory - how much different can it be from shaving your legs or armpits, right? Actually, the pubic area is pretty sensitive, and there are a few dos and don’ts on how to shave down there. If you decide to shave your pubic hair, you want to be prepared with the right tools and info to avoid getting any nicks, bumps, or razor burns. The stand’s minimum diameter tree attachment is 9 inches, which is a big plus it fits in most any tree. The stand is economical, and while it doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, the adjustable support bar that runs from the second ladder section to the tree and the ratchet strap creates a secure stand-to-tree bond. This is an excellent portable ladder stand option, and its 16-foot height is respectable. The Big Game Warrior Pro Ladder isn’t the stand you want to sit in all day, day after day, but it will work in a pinch. False negatives were registered more among patients who had received more than seven doses of Amphotericin B. When comparing both India ink and acridine orange to culture, false positive results were registered more among samples with a (+1) grade of positivity ( Table 2). 52% (22/42) of the India ink negative samples were positive with culture while 63% (5/8) of the acridine orange negative samples were positive with culture. However, both India ink (positive predictive value = 86%, negative predictive value = 48%) and acridine orange (PPV = 79%, NPV = 38%) had poor predictive values with reference to culture. When compared to quantitative CSF culture, the sensitivity for India ink increased to 86% (130/152) while that of Acridine orange did not change (97%). In addition, since all samples were from known positive cases (using CSF CrAg), this result was also supported by the fact that India ink had more negative results ( 22%) than acridine orange ( 4%). This confirmed the analysis done in the previous paragraphs. The same statistical analysis also revealed that acridine orange was more sensitive (96%) than India ink (79%) with reference to CSF CrAg. However, there was a 25% correlation between the two tests. Using the fishers exact test, there was a statistically significant difference (p<0.001) in the grades of positivity between acridine orange and India ink at a 95% CI. However, using acridine orange (n = 194), 47% of the samples had a positivity grade of +1, followed by a +2 (29%), then +3 (20%) and the least with zero (negative- 4%) ( Table 2).ĭata presented are number of samples (n) for the different grades of positivity and the number of samples that were positive for culture (gold standard) in each category. Using India ink (n = 194), 33% of the samples had a low positivity grade of +1, followed by a +3 (25%), then zero (negative-22%) and the least with a +2 (21%). Acridine orange had a sensitivity of 96% while India ink had a sensitivity of 78% with reference to CSF CrAg (n = 194).įor both India ink and acridine orange tests, the level of positivity was graded on a scale of zero (0) to +3 where zero = negative, +1 = 1–9 cells in 100 fields, +2 = 10–99 cells in 100 fields and +3 is ≥100 cells in one field. The overall (n = 194) median for quantitative cultures was 820 CFU/ml (IQR = 10 to 73000). 127 samples were positive for all these three tests. Of the 194 CrAg LFA positive CSF samples tested from different time points during antifungal therapy, 152 were positive for India ink, 186 were positive for acridine orange, and 151 were positive for quantitative cultures. Performance of India ink and acridine orange against culture and CrAg We hypothesized that with the availability of a florescent microscope in a clinical laboratory, acridine orange may be a more sensitive alternative to India ink light microscopy in the detection of Cryptococcus yeasts in CSF. In this study, we used acridine orange to detect cryptococcal yeasts in fresh whole CSF in comparison to India ink stain at serial time points during antifungal treatment in a clinical setting. Earlier work done by Cohen et al, 1984 showed no apparent advantage of acridine orange over india ink for the rapid identification of Cryptococcus neoformans using three laboratory strains. It emits yellow fluorescence when it binds RNA and green fluorescence when it binds DNA. It has been used to stain samples for viability staining, epifluorescence microscopy and is particularly useful in the rapid screening of sterile biological specimens from clinical and non-clinical materials. The poor sensitivity of India ink may lead to misdiagnosis hence increasing the burden and mortality due to cryptococcal meningitis in resource limited settings where it is still utilized.Īcridine orange is a fluorescence dye used to stain acidic vacuoles, DNA, and RNA in viable cells. The new point of care CrAg lateral flow assay is in fact more sensitive and user friendly in different sample types. However, many recent studies done in sub-Saharan Africa in clinical settings demonstrated low and poor sensitivity of India ink in the diagnosis of cryptococcal meningitis. It is still being used in some resource limited settings of sub-Saharan Africa where the burden due to cryptococcal meningitis is highest. India ink has over time been used in the rapid diagnosis of cryptococcal meningitis using cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) among AIDS patients. However, detection of the cryptococcal antigen (CrAg) in CSF, serum and whole blood has recently gained more popularity with better sensitivity. Culture of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is the gold standard for diagnosis of CM. Cryptococcal meningitis (CM) is the most common cause of adult meningitis in Africa accounting for 15%–25% of AIDS-related deaths with majority of the cases registered in sub-Saharan Africa.
